How Much Does a Sleep Consultant Cost in London?

You're exhausted.
You've been up four times again.
You've finally Googled "sleep consultant London" and every website says the same thing: book a call to find out more.
When you're running on broken sleep, you don't want a sales pitch. You want a straight answer.
So here it is. I'm Nicky, a baby and child sleep consultant with 25 years' experience, supporting families in their own homes across London. This is exactly what sleep support costs, what you're paying for, and how to work out what you actually need.
How much does a sleep consultant cost in London?
Prices vary a lot. Anywhere from under £100 for a single call to several thousand pounds for overnight support in your home.
That's a big gap.
But you're not comparing like with like.
A call gives you advice.
Overnight support gives you someone in your home, beside you, at 2am. Most families land somewhere in between.
What affects the price?
Virtual or in-home
Virtual support costs less because nobody travels to you, and it works well for lots of families. But nothing replaces seeing your little one, your home and your routine in real life. Things I spot in a nursery in five minutes can take weeks to come out over video.
How long support lasts
One call and a plan costs less than weeks of daily check-ins. But the follow-up is where the real progress happens. Sleep rarely improves in a straight line, and it helps to have someone adjusting things with you when a bad night hits.
How hands-on it is
Being handed a plan is very different from having someone there while you do it. The more hands-on the support, the higher the cost, and the less falls on your tired shoulders.
Experience
You're trusting someone with your child and your home. Experience and qualifications matter, and they're always worth asking about.
What does my sleep support cost?
I'd rather be upfront, so here's exactly how my in-home baby sleep support in London works.
Start with a free call.
You get to meet me, I get to hear what's going on, and we work out together whether I'm the right fit.
No pressure, no obligation.

In-Home Sleep Visit: £196. I come to your home for up to two hours. I meet you and your little one, look at where they sleep, and we talk through naps, bedtime, night waking, feeding, settling and routine. I leave with clear recommendations. Additional time is £98 per hour.
There's no obligation to book anything else. If you do, £98 of your visit fee comes off your next level of support when booked within the agreed timeframe.
After your visit, you choose what happens next:
Virtual support: I guide you while you make the changes yourself.
In-home support: I'm beside you, coaching you in real time.
Evening and bedtime support: help at the part of the day you find hardest.
Overnight support: Done for you support, a typical three-night package, including 30 days of follow-up support, is £3,000.
Every family is different, so these are examples of how I work rather than fixed packages. You'll always get a clear price before you commit, and my results are guaranteed.
Is a cheaper option ever the better choice?
Honestly? Sometimes, yes.
If sleep is only slightly off, one call might be all you need to get back on track. If I think that's you, I'll say so on our free call.
But if you've already tried the routines, the apps and the advice from every parent at baby group, another generic plan is unlikely to be the answer. That's how families end up paying twice. Once for the plan that didn't fit, and again for the help they needed in the first place.
How do I know what level of help I need?
Ask yourself:
Have I already tried routines or advice that didn't stick?
Is the lack of sleep affecting my work, my health or my relationship?
Do I know what to do, but can't face doing it alone at 2am?
Am I going back to work soon and running out of time?
A yes to one or two? Virtual support could be enough. A yes to most of them? You'll probably get far more from having me there in person.
Still not sure? That's exactly what the free call is for.
Is a sleep consultant worth the money?
Think about what months of broken sleep are already costing you. Your patience. Your focus at work. Evenings with your partner that end in snapping instead of talking. The guilt of looking at your little one and not knowing how to help.
Nicky came to our home for a 3-hour visit, where she carried out a thorough assessment, guided us through our bedtime routine, and showed us gentle, practical methods to support our little one’s sleep. Having that hands-on support in our own home was invaluable. She helped us understand our son’s needs better and gave us the confidence and tools to make positive changes.

Sleep isn't a luxury. For your little one, it's how they grow and learn. For you, it's how you get to be the parent, partner and professional you want to be. Getting it sorted properly, once, is worth a lot.
Finding the right sleep consultant for your family.
My honest advice?
Speak to a few sleep consultants before you decide.
Not everyone is right for every family, and that's okay.
You're inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your little one, so you need to feel comfortable with them.
Ask about their experience, how they work, and what support looks like after the first visit.
Then follow your gut. If it feels right, it usually is.
If you'd like me to be one of the people you speak to, I'd love to hear from you.
